Let's Embrace Race Course

Module 1
Look Within – For The Greater Good
In the 1st Module, you’ll be introduced to the “I’m okay, you’re okay” philosophy. This philosophy provides the foundation for your Anti-Racism work. You’ll learn about the Anti-Racism Scale as well. This module will also explore definitions, growth mindset vs. fixed mindset, your relationship with race, and your values.

Module 2
Building The Bridge – What Belongs To Who?
Module 2 is all about creating a bridge between us and others to foster an ongoing conversation. We will explore racial biases along with the environments and settings that influence or do not influence these beliefs. You’ll get an introduction to the proven C.A.R.E strategy, which will give you the tools to start conversations on race.

Module 3
Compassion & Accountability – Leave Armour At The Door
In Module 3, you will learn how to see yourself and others with compassion. We’ll cover how to reflect on accountability in a mature way and how to apply the growth mindset you’ve adopted. We want to make ourselves open and curious about the present moment so that we will be ready to grow and learn.

Module 4
Zone To Stretch Zone
The 4th module will be about moving beyond your comfort zone. We’ll look at forms of resistance to conversations on race. And you’ll learn how to be empathic to yourself and others who are learning, too.

Module 5
Create Your Personal Framework – The Work Is Ongoing
As we wrap up this course, you’ll learn that becoming an Anti-Racist requires commitment and consistency. We will discuss strategies for integrating the C.A.R.E method you learned about into your everyday practices. We will also revisit your values and reflect on the shifts towards a growth mindset that have occurred throughout the course..
